Of Covered Or Carpet Area Of Your Living Space

If you are planning to buy home it is very important to know the exact meaning of terms like carpet area, built up area, super area to avoid getting cheated and you may end up paying more than the actual cost of a property. The apartment that is sold as a spacious 1200 sq ft, is actually not 1200 sq ft if one count its actual covered area, or carpet area.

As the name suggests, the area one can spread the carpet. Though in real terms, it’s the usable areas of the house enclosed within the walls. This area does not include the thickness of the inner walls. It is the actual area that will be used in an apartment/office etc. So, Carpet Area refers to the total usable area within the four walls of an apartment or a commercial space, as the case may be.
