Property Market Is Not Moving Towards A Crash: Anuj Puri

To promote green initiatives, the government should come forward to introduce incentives, which would act as a catalyst for the development and absorption of new green buildings, says Anuj Puri, Chairman and Country Head, Jones Lang LaSalle India. In an interview with K Ramanathan, he speaks about the possibility of price correction, green buildings and investment options in real estate. 

1. What will be the best investment option in the prevailing situation -- real estate, gold or securities?

 Whether residential real estate is an asset class for investment is a tricky issue and there is no sure-shot formula for its viability. It is to be noted that investors have different degrees of experience, market knowledge, expertise and risk appetites for different asset classes. People who have lack of expertise in stock trading, real estate trading or commodity trading may not see satisfactory return on investment (ROI) from the market.
